Daniel Rosenboom celebrates his 32nd birthday at downtown Los Angeles's best jazz club, Blue Whale, on Wednesday, May 7th, at 9:00pm with the premiere two new major original concert works in two sets. Astral Transference, a new pseudo-minimalist groove adventure, explores the space between ceremonial rhythm and meditative jazz; and Seven Dreams is a semi-programatic, poetry-inspired free-jazz dedication to Rosenboom's first teacher and legendary trumpet artist, Wadada Leo Smith.
