Elliot Caine Quintet at The Blue Guitar

The Blue Guitar in South Pasadena is launching a jazz series! The show will be a companion to the popular Americana series that takes place there every Wednesday called Wine & Song. Both events are produced by musician and DeepMix Entertainment head, Brad Colerick.

Kicking off the Thursday jazz series on September 8 will be the Elliott Caine Quintet. Inspired by 60's "Blue Note" style jazz, as well as by the music of Tito Puente and Mongo Santamaria, the band plays original compositions as well as the works of Lee Morgan, Hank Mobley, and Donald Byrd among others.

The Blue Guitar is a stylish 75-seat listening room complete with stage, spotlights, curtains, bistro tables, and candlelights. It is located in the Arroyo Seco golf course. The club received its moniker due to the neon accent hanging in the front window....
