The Jason Lee Bruns Collective with Kevin Baché (pronounced “bah-SHAY”) is an 8-piece world jazz ensemble playing a unique melange of Jazz, Blues, and Afro/Brazilian music comprised of an ALL-STAR band handpicked from L.A.’s top jazz musicians. All band members have performed with Major Label artists and/or teach music at major universities. Arrangements for the group are inspired by Bruns’ folkloric percussion field-research to Africa, Cuba, Brazil, and Trinidad. Don Heckman (former music columnist for L.A. Times) said that the band's horn section sounds like the famous band “Blood, Sweat, and Tears”.
