Visit the Mission Playhouse June 21st at 6:30pm to enjoy the first of four talented and entertaining ensembles who bring Jazz Nights to the Playhouse from June through August!

Kicking off the Mission Playhouse’s 2nd Annual Jazz series is the Elliott Caine Quintet with a night of Bepop, Boogaloo, and Latin Jazz. The Quintet is influenced by artists from Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers to Tito Puente and Mongo Santamaria.

Latin Beat Magazine describes Elliott Caine as “one of the West Coast’s finest trumpeters.” Cadence Magazine describes him “as a fire-breathing trumpeter in the lineage of Freddie Hubbard and Lee Morgan and his band is just as sharp.” Elliott has performed and/or recorded with Teddy Edwards, Barbara Morrison, Wyclef Jean, Beck, The Beastie Boys, and numerous others.
