For 25 years Leni Stern has found motivation in the ever-changing world around her for the music she plays – a sound equally transforming, malleable, and moving. She came from Europe, put roots down in America, followed the winds to Africa, and her sights are always on the horizon. Stern has had great success as a jazz guitarist having been awarded five consecutive Gibson Guitar Female Jazz Guitarist of the Year Awards. She led bands supported by heavyweights such as Dennis Chambers, Bill Frisell, Michael Brecker, and Paul Motian. After 6 highly acclaimed instrumental albums Stern bravely chartered the vocal waters on her 1995 album “Words.” She’ll be joined for this show by her NYC bandmates Mamadou Ba and Alioune Faye as well as popular Blue Guitar guest Adam Levy....
