About

Boston native Matt Gordy is a drummer, percussionist, pianist, composer and arranger who has performed with international orchestras all over the world including the Orquesta Sinfonica de Maracaibo, Venezuela and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra. He graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music and has also performed with a long list of star attractions such as Joni Mitchell, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Jr., Brian Wilson, Aretha Frankling, Mose Allison, Mark Murphy, Donna Summer, and The Moody Blues. He currently resides in Los Angeles where his sextet performs regularly at various venues, including the Blue Whale, Vitello’s, Grand Annex, the CAP Theater, and the Lighthouse Cafe in Hermosa Beach. He’ll be joined by his all-star ensemble consisting of Ron Stout on trumpet, Rob Lockart on saxophone, Ido Meshulam on Trombone, Will Lyle on bass, and Sam Hirsh on piano. Adjacent to the Blue Guitar room is the Arroyo Seco Grill which has food, wine, and full bar. Or you can bring your own bottle for a $10 corkage fee. Showtime is 7:00pm, doors open 30 minutes prior....
