A jazz and poetry organization in the Leimert Park Village in Los Angeles, The World Stage Arts, Education, and Performance Gallery holds its 25th Anniversary Celebration concert this month. Sponsored by Amoeba Records and KJAZZ, this star-studded benefit features jazz and spoken word artists such as “local treasure” Dwight Trible, Grammy winners Carmen Lundy and Patrice Rushen, and many more. The concert is a fundraiser for the entirely volunteer-run World Stage and a tribute to its co-founder, legendary drummer Billy Higgins.
